Promotion & Tenure Book Program
The College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences (CULLS) announced a new tradition to celebrate newly promoted faculty each year. The new program, initiated in 2022, gives faculty members the opportunity to select a book of personal significance to be included in the University Libraries collection.
An electronic bookplate, including name, rank, and year of promotion will be added to the University Libraries’ catalog. Book selections can range from fiction to non-fiction or academic to children’s book. These selections stand as a reminder now and into the future of the remarkable accomplishments of the faculty at The University of New Mexico.
The initiative is a collaborative project between the President’s office, Provost Office, CULLS, Zollinger Library, Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center, and the Health Sciences Center. The initiative is a result of the UNM 2040 goal to celebrate achievements that exemplify UNM’s vision as one university.
