Biography
Caitlin Wells is the Collections Coordinator for the UNM Libraries, where she works on the Collections team within the Learning, Research, and Engagement (LRE) unit. She is focused on developing strategies and policies that shape and build the Libraries’ collections and on stewarding the Libraries’ resources in service to the UNM community. She also oversees the Libraries’ collection acquisition budget and serves as a point person for vendors. Her research interests include the organizational structures of academic libraries, collection assessment, and labor within the library profession.
Before coming to UNM, Caitlin worked as a collection analyst for licensing and e-resource acquisitions at the UCLA Library, and in archives and special collections at the University of Michigan and at New Mexico State University. She has a MLIS with a specialization in Archives and Records Administration and a MA in History from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as a BA in History from Grinnell College.
