Biography

Samuel E. Sisneros, an Albuquerque native, received his MA in Borderlands History with a minor in Public History at the University of Texas at El Paso. He completed the post degree certificate program in Historic Preservation and Regionalism from the UNM School of Architecture and Planning. He has worked as a Digital Imaging Specialist at the C.L. Sonnichsen Special Collections Department, University of Texas at El Paso and a Senior Archivist at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and at the New Mexico State Records Center and Archives. Besides his duties of processing collections, Samuel’s work at the Center for Southwest Research and Special Collections also involves acquisitions, assistance with special digitization and research projects, Rocky Mountain Online Archive XML publishing, and reference. Samuel has published several articles and anthology chapters related to topics in New Mexico, Chicana(o), Native American and Latin American history.
