Glenn earned her Masters of English Literature from Portland State University, Oregon, in 2009 where she focused on Old English/medieval studies and science fiction. If she were to go back and get a PhD in English Lit, she would study young adult literature. She taught as an English adjunct for a community college in Wyoming for many years, mostly online, and spent one year there as a visiting English instructor. Other pre-library jobs have included teaching English in France, managing a gas station in Yellowstone, and selling shoes in Missoula.
In 2017, she received her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Denver, Colorado. During her time there, she staffed DU’s reference desk and worked in the writing center. It was here where her interest in how writing centers and reference centers complement each other was born. Other areas of interest include instruction as performance, critical/feminist pedagogy, and online instruction. She has been at UNM since fall of 2017.
Finally, she has a labradoodle who’s a good boy.
