Laura Soito

Laura Soito is the subject librarian for Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics and Astronomy. She is passionate about connecting people to information and strategies to build new knowledge. Her scholarly interests focus on addressing the information needs of scientists and science students. Her recent research has focused on lowering technological and cultural barriers to effective software citation. Previously, she conducted research and provided technical support in the Center for Structural Biology at Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Laura holds a MLIS from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a BS in Botany and Physical Science from Northern Arizona University. Holding on to her botanical roots, she is the membership manager for the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and two dogs.
